Worm FOC April 12, 2027

Fleabag with a touch of Shameless and It’s Always Sunny, this family tragicomedy ruthlessly bounds from failed sexual encounters to accidental k-holes and boob pic blunders to oyster induced accidents. Mixed-up adventures unfold at a frantic pace. As we wince, love is sought in all the wrong places.Ninon lives with her parents in the suburbs of Paris. She sneaks out to parties with her BFF, Eva, where they do what teens do, risking it all on games of truth or dare. Her big sister, Judith, has already left the nest. By day, she groans through her job at an organic grocer. By night, she tries to escape her anxiety by getting high with her cheap rapper boyfriend.Meanwhile, their mother tries to rekindle the flame with their father, who is mostly distracted and prefers to cling desperately to memories of youth. With hilariously revealing facial expressions and pitch-perfect trash humor, Worm is a compulsive read with a cringe-yet-loveable cast. Rendered in precise and idiosyncratic inks, Maybelline Skvortzoff’s eye is both crude and tender.
