This policy explains how to cancel pre-orders, ship-on-demand items, in-stock orders, special-order items and subscriptions at RUNE WORKS COMICS, and what happens to your payment. For returns of items you've already received, see our Refund Policy.
How to cancel
Email runeworkscomics@gmail.com with your order number, or use the cancel option on your order status page or in the Shop app if it's offered. Every cancellation request gets a reply, and an approved cancellation is refunded in full to your original payment method.
Before your order ships
Any in-stock item or ship-on-demand item can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before it ships — no fees, no questions. This includes ship-on-demand items still waiting on the manufacturer. We charge in full at checkout, so the full amount you paid is refunded. Pre-order and special-order items are the exception (see below).
Pre-order and special-order items — no cancellations after purchase
We do not cancel pre-order or special order items after purchase. Every pre-order and special-order listing says so at the top of its description. A pre-order is an item that has not been released yet; buying it reserves yours with our distributor before release, so it can't be cancelled once your order is placed.
Special-order items are products we don't keep on our shelf — books, collectibles, figures, statues, games, apparel and hobby supplies that we order in from our supplier for you after you buy them. They are marked SPECIAL ORDER on the product page with the note "No cancellations on special order items." Comics, graphic novels and manga are never special orders. Because a special-order item is ordered just for you, it can't be cancelled once your order is placed, and it can't be returned (see our Refund Policy). It ships to you, or is held for pickup, as soon as it arrives from our supplier. This doesn't limit any right the law gives you: if we can't ship a special-order item within 30 days of your order, or a pre-order's release is delayed past the date shown when you bought it, we'll email you with an update, and you may cancel that item for a full refund; if our supplier or publisher can't provide it at all, we cancel it and refund you in full; and where the law of your country gives you a right to cancel (for example, the EU 14-day cooling-off period), that right still applies.
After your order ships
Once an order has shipped it can no longer be cancelled, and a cancellation request received after shipment will be declined with an explanation. You can still return the item under our Refund Policy once it arrives.
Allocations and release changes
Publishers and distributors sometimes ship stores fewer copies than ordered. If our allocation comes in short and we can't fill all or part of your order, we cancel what we can't fill and refund it in full — you don't need to ask. If a release date is delayed, your pre-order stays open and we'll email you with the new date; you may then choose to cancel that delayed item for a full refund.
Refund timing
Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Shop Cash or store credit used on the order is returned first, then the card portion; your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post it. If a refund hasn't appeared within 10 business days of our confirmation, email us and we'll trace it.
Subscriptions (Comic Clan and other memberships)
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose. You can cancel or change a subscription at any time from the links in your order confirmation emails or by emailing us; cancelling stops future renewals. Deliveries already charged follow the rules above.
