For centuries he slumbered. A vast, scaly weight pressing down upon the stolen wealth of Erebor™, breathing the stale air of a kingdom’s tomb. In the darkness, the dragon and his hoard became one. No longer just a guardian of the gold, Smaug became the very embodiment of greed, his hide mirroring the glittering coins he coveted above all else. Smaug the Golden creates a striking "what if" narrative, imagining the Fire Drake fused with the very treasure he guards. To achieve this lustrous, treasure-hoarding aesthetic, our artists have employed a specialised metallic foiling technique. This complex application coats the scales and skin in a shimmering layer of gold, simulating the effect of aeons spent crushing dwarven fortunes beneath his might. Yet, a
