Showcase #2

Showcase #2 features the second appearance of the Flash, continuing the adventures of Barry Allen, the Silver Age speedster who debuted in the previous issue. This 1956 comic helped establish the Flash as DC's flagship character of the new era, with stories by Robert Kanigher and John Broome and art by Carmine Infantino. The tryout format of Showcase would go on to introduce many other major DC heroes throughout the late 1950s and 1960s.
