This is a pre-order — it is not in stock yet. It ships on or shortly after the release date above, not within our normal handling time. Any FOC date in the title is our distributor order cutoff, not the release date.
INCENTIVE VARIANT: We do not cancel incentive variant comics after purchase. This is a 1:10 incentive (ratio) cover, printed in limited numbers. Publishers only let a store order incentive covers in proportion to the regular copies it buys, so we commit to those extra copies to get yours. Because of that, it cannot be cancelled after purchase.
PRE ORDER FOC DATE September 14, 2026 / ON SALE DATE 10/7/2026 The highly-anticipated comics event of the year finally sets sail! Archie Comics teams up with superstar SHAQUILLE O’NEAL to bring the legend of the pirate king BLACK CAESAR to life! An African king of extraordinary physical presence must navigate the brutal transformation from royalty to slavery to piracy, searching for his kidnapped lov
PRE-ORDER ALLOCATION NOTICE: This is a pre-order and is subject to allocation. Allocation means the publisher or distributor may ship retailers fewer copies than were ordered when demand is higher than supply or the print run. Allocation is an industry-standard practice across comics and collectibles distribution and is outside of our control. If our allocation comes in short and we cannot fill your order, you will be notified and refunded in full to your original payment method.
INCENTIVE COVER ALLOCATION RISK: Incentive (ratio) covers are only made available to retailers based on how many standard copies they order (for example, 1 copy per 25 ordered), and distributors frequently cut or cancel them after final order cutoff. This makes incentive and other high-demand pre-orders the most likely items to be shorted. To improve your odds of securing a copy, we recommend pre-ordering incentive and high-demand items from several vendors.
Super happy with my purchase and Rune Works Comics as a whole. Price was fair and shipping was within the predicted timeline. Product was as described. If you are needing a collectible and Rune has it, give them your business, you won’t be disappointed.
