In Lightfall: A Place Between, our heroes arrive at long last to the island nation of Pellidyr and face a devastating loss, and—for one of our heroes—an impossible decision. After surviving a shipwreck on the Fuerre Sea, Cad washes ashore on the outer banks of Pellidyr only to discover that Lorgon, a water spirit and ally in the fight against the Mire, has died. Instead he meets Mirko, the spirit of Death and Knowledge, and together they travel to Mirko’s realm, A Place Between. While there, Cad works to uncover the reason Lorgon summoned them to Pellidyr in the first place. Meanwhile, Bea and the rest of the fellowship land upon the shores of the capital city.
