White Dwarf 528

SHIP ON DEMAND — ordered from Games Workshop when you buy. We don't keep this on the shelf: when you order, we place it with Games Workshop and ship it to you as soon as it reaches us. No delivery date is promised — that depends on GW's dispatch, and we'd rather give no date than one we can't keep. You'll get an emailed status update every Monday until it ships, you can cancel for a full refund any time before it ships, and orders ship complete (in-stock items in the same order ship with it).

White Dwarf is the official Warhammer magazine, packed with amazing monthly content – including new rules and background, short stories, regular columns, special guests, and more.

Here’s what you can look forward to in the September issue:

WARHAMMER 40,000

The Red Skull Kommandos
Orks are just simple-minded brutes, right? Wrong! We take a look at Snikrot’s boyz. From a safe distance, of course. Like, 100 miles away.

Rules of Engagement
The first of our new-look tactics articles focusing on the detachment system and how it can benefit your army on the tabletop.

The Caedomian Crusade
Witches and heretics beware, because this gorgeous collection of Black Templars is merciless in its magnificence (and vice-versa).

Titanic Duel
Orks! Orks! Orks! We provide rules for the Gorkanaut (and Morkanaut) in our Titanic Duel mini-game.

WARHAMMER AGE OF SIGMAR

Designers’ Notes: The Hungry Hordes
Meat! Entrails! Lots of hungry mouths! We take a deep dive into the design of the new Ogor Mawtribes range of miniatures.

Paint Splatter: Ogor Mawtribes
Paint Splatter? More like food splatter. We serve up a five-course painting guide for Ogors, plus an extra wintery scheme. Brrrrrr.

Battle Report: The Meat Tithe
Meaty Ogors take on bony skeletons in a royal rumble of epic proportions. Or maybe that rumbling is their stomachs…

Cogforts of the Realms
They ain't just castles on legs, you know. More background and new rules for customising our favourite new war machines.

More-more Cogforts
One of the studio’s Warlock Engineers got his hands on a Cogfort and did something unsqueakable to it. All power to the Warpfort!

OTHER ARTICLES

Imperial Might
Are they really small or just really far away? Oh, they're really small… but they're also beautifully painted. Imperial Fists, Legions Imperialis-style.

Voyage of the Saltfyre: Leviadons of the Ravaged Coast
Snerrek and Bluetongue return for more nautical misadventures in the second part of our Skaven short story. More-more boat-boat.

Access Granted
Here you will find painting challenges and the latest Bunker news. Enter at your peril.

Your Warhammer
We feature your elite units, a huge Titan, some lovely letters, and a question about Von Ryan.

The White Dwarf Round-up
Our whimsical musings on the month that’s just gone, including a tiny Tech-Priest and a question about slimy bases.

Bunker Bingo
A couple of models painted by members of the White Dwarf team, plus you get to see our ugly mugs/beautiful faces [delete as appropriate].

Each copy of White Dwarf 528 also comes with:
– 1 A4 tear-out card featuring the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Scenarios of the Month
– 2 A4 tear-out cards featuring 12 double-sided punch-out 60mm by 90mm Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition core Stratagem reference cards, and a 100mm by 150mm Victory Points tracker
