Batman: Shadow of the Bat #23

This issue from the mid-1990s falls during the "KnightQuest" storyline, when Jean-Paul Valley has taken over as Batman following Bruce Wayne's defeat by Bane. The story explores the increasingly unstable and violent methods of the new Batman as he struggles with his role and his own dark programming.
