Batman faces off against the Tally Man, a deadly contract killer who charges his clients a literal price for murder. This mid-nineties issue finds the Dark Knight investigating a string of killings while dealing with the consequences of Gotham's underworld politics. Written by Doug Moench with art by Kelley Jones, whose elongated, gothic style gives Batman an especially haunting presence.
