Ratio incentive covers (1:25, 1:50, 1:100 and up) are the best part of collecting new comics โ and the easiest place for an online shop to burn you. Many stores list them with unlimited quantity, take your money, then cancel weeks later when their allocation comes up short. We've redesigned how Rune Works sells them so that never happens here.
Our four commitments
1. If you can order it, we can deliver it. Every high-ratio cover (1:50 and up) is listed with a hard quantity cap tied to our confirmed allocation. When the last copy sells, the listing says sold out โ we will never oversell a scarce cover and refund you after the fact.
2. Grails are in-hand only. Covers at 1:250 and rarer are never sold as pre-orders. They appear in the Grail Vault only once the book is physically in our shop, photographed and ready to ship.
3. Subscribers get first crack. Members of The Cutoff, our weekly FOC-deadline newsletter, get a 24-hour early-access window on 1:100+ covers before they open to everyone. That's the perk: not a coupon, a head start on the books that actually sell out.
4. Fair drops on the rarest books. When more collectors want a grail than we have copies, we run a raffle entry or a 72-hour auction instead of a checkout race won by bots. Everyone gets a real shot.
Why our incentive prices look the way they do
A 1:100 cover exists because a shop commits to 100 copies of the base issue. Our pricing reflects that real scarcity honestly โ and it's also why pre-ordering standard covers here matters: every base copy you pre-order helps unlock the incentive covers everyone wants.
