Edoras, one of the film’s most iconic locations, consisted of an expansive, multi-structure set erected on location at Mount Sunday, New Zealand, as well as a number of smaller interior studio sets. The exterior was also digitally augmented with hundreds of additional buildings to create the impression of an entire city. Unveiled from the depths of the Middle-earth vault, these 1:2 scale reproductions of the original set plans from The Two Towers offer a rare glimpse into the craftsmanship behind one of the most iconic locations in cinematic history - Edoras.
